How will I reach my provider?

Since we are not billing insurance for each encounter, you are free to contact your provider whenever you'd like. As an enrolled member, you will receive your provider's direct contact information and be able to reach her any time, any day!

What if I need medical attention while I'm away from home?

Yet another freedom we can enjoy as a result of not billing insurance.  Because we get to know you well, we can often diagnose many illnesses by communicating by phone, text, email or webcam.  We can also help you locate a nearby pharmacy and send over a prescription for you should it be necessary.

Does A New Way Healthcare accept any insurance?

No.  Happily no.  We want to take care of you in the best way possible. When we make contractual agreements with insurance companies, we are bound by various restrictions which limit how we can provide care.  By forgoing insurance billing, we have more time to spend with you, anytime/anywhere.

Do I still need to keep my current health insurance?

Yes, certainly.  Your insurance will be used to cover  your lab work costs, imaging, specialists, hospitalizations, etc.   Many people are turning to high deductible insurance plans in order to pay lower monthly premiums.  This works perfectly with our model. Save the insurance need for the "big stuff" and have your day to day needs addressed at A New Way Healthcare.

Is my membership to A New Way Healthcare tax deductible?

Unfortunately, no.  Your retainer is not yet defined as a "medical expense" in most states.  Please consult your tax advisor for your particular circumstances.

What happens if I need to go to the hospital or see a specialist?

We want you to always receive the best care needed in a particular situation.  If a referral to the hospital was indicated, you would be seen in the emergency room for evaluation and admitted, if necessary, by one of the hospitalists.  We will follow your care closely and be available if needed. Should you need to be seen by a specialist, we will arrange that referral for you and forward your insurance information to them.

Is there a family rate for membership?

3 or more members of the same family receive a 20% discount. Currently we are unable to see children (under the age of 14) or men. We anticipate being able to see both by next year.

Will I benefit from a membership if I don't require frequent medical attention?

Of course.  Our practice is devoted to providing easy accessibility and communication.  Our goal is to provide the best health care possible for you. While you may only need to be seen on occasion,  you can have peace of mind that we are available for you if you simply have questions or concerns or need education or support to achieve a certain health goal.  As we all know, prevention is the best type of health care. We are here for you when you need anything.

How do I know if A New Way Healthcare is right for me?

Come visit us!  We'd love to meet you and give you a complimentary tour of the office.  Should you wish to schedule an appointment, we can see you on a self-pay basis ($125/visit). You can always enroll as a member at any time.
